The decoration of the hotel was charming and had a cozy and homely feel. The common areas were well-maintained and easily accessible for senior people. The children working there were always ready to assist and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
A better vacation for senior people would be even more enjoyable with the addition of handrails in certain areas.

Garden views that transport you to a natural oasis. As I stepped onto the balcony, I was greeted by the sight of lush vegetation that seemed to reach for the sky. It felt like I had stumbled upon a secret garden, complete with chirping birds and a gentle breeze. A serene escape from the bustling city life!
Constant texts from owner.

The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to escape the busy and noisy backpacker area. It is set amongst the forest and surrounded by nature, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. the rooms are basic but comfortable, meeting all of our needs. the owner is extremely friendly and goes above and beyond to assist guests, providing delicious breakfasts and even home-cooked dinners. the view from the terrace is stunning, with a beautiful sunrise and the sounds of birds and animals in the background.
The shower could be a bit tricky, but eventually, you will get warm water.

We got great value for our money! The room was comfortable with a good shower and bed. The location in the forest outside of Ella was beautiful, perfect for enjoying the sounds of animals and birds. The staff, especially Jaywaredene, the owner, were charming, attentive, and always had a smile on their faces.
The hotel breakfast menu could be improved with more variety.

I had an amazing stay at Mango Shadow Inn in Sri Lanka. the hosts, Jayawardana and his family, were incredibly attentive and made sure that everything was comfortable and enjoyable. the breakfast they served was delicious and plentiful, and the view from the cabin was absolutely breathtaking. the accommodation was clean, well-maintained, and up to a high standard. Jayawardana even offered to guide me up Ella Rock to see the sunrise, which was a tough climb but completely worth it.
🤔.

For the value we got, Mango Shadow Inn was amazing! The room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view from the balcony. The location was perfect for walking to Ella rock and just a short distance from town. The staff, particularly Jayawardana and his family, were incredibly helpful and made our stay memorable.
The morning meal could have been better if the variety of options had been more extensive.

During our new year stay at this accommodation, we enjoyed the warm and friendly hospitality of the hosts. They ensured that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. the breakfast provided was not only delicious but also plentiful, giving us a great start to the day. the location of the accommodation was perfect, offering stunning views and a peaceful environment.
One aspect we disliked was the distance from the town center, which required a 15-minute walk each way. Although there was a shortcut along the railroad tracks, it was still a bit inconvenient.

The rooms at Mango Shadow Inn Ella were absolutely incredible! They had a cozy seating area where I could relax after a long day of biking. The balcony offered stunning mountain views that took my breath away. The bed was super comfortable and the private bathroom was well-equipped with free toiletries. It felt like my own little slice of paradise!
Personally, I found the desk in the rooms to be a bit small. But hey, that's just me!

I recently stayed at Mango Shadow Inn for a few days during my trip to Ella. The family who runs the inn is incredibly caring and made me feel like a friend of the family. The bungalow accommodation was comfortable and had a shared kitchen, although I didn't need to use it since they prepared and brought delicious food to my terrace. The inn arranged all my plans, from visiting tea plantations to hiking up Ella Rock with a knowledgeable guide. The newly built bungalow had a stunning view from the terrace, especially during sunrise. it was a great stay with amazing hosts.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.
